I’ve just received this information which apparently is based on back catalogue artists.

The 38th Japan Gold Disc Awards - 2024

The Beatles broke their own record for the most Western music awards, and won the award for the ninth time.

The Beatles won the "Artist of the Year" (Western music) for the ninth time in history and for the third year in a row.

This time, "The Beatles double album 1967-1970 (2023 Edition) and "The Beatles double album 1962-1966 (2023 Edition) won the "Best Albums" (Western music), and "Now and Then" won the "Song of the Year by Download" (Western Music), winning a total of three crowns.

■Albums : 1962-1966 (2023 edition) plus 1967-1970 (2023 edition). Total for both of these albums is 144,979 in equivalent album sales.

■Single: Now & Then - 36,466


The 37th Japan Gold Disc Awards - 2023

The Beatles won the Western music category for the eighth time, the first in the history of the Gold Disc Awards since the awards had begun.

The Beatles broke their own record for the most Western music awards and won the award for the eighth time.

■Album : Revolver 2022 Edition - 59,169 equivalent album sales.


The 36th Japan Gold Disc Awards - Winners and Artists 2022

The Beatles won the 7th award , for the most in Western music award.

The Beatles won the award for the seventh time, the most in history in the Western music category since the awards had begun.

■Album: Let It Be 2021 Edition - 67,951 equivalent album sales.
