What FTD book/CD combo set would be suitable for future release?

I know quite some fans feel that these sets are too expensive, but I guess there will be a couple more sets like these released in the future. If so, what three sets would you prefer and why? (maybe even if you would't buy them)

For me it would be:

1. The '68 Comeback:
Until now FTD has tackled this highlight in Elvis' career only on the 2CD 7" set, wich is a great release. Given that there is a great story to be told...plus that there are a lot of great photo's... and that there is a great amount of paperwork available... it would (should) make a great candidate for a nice set. There still are unreleased outtakes in the vaults, plus there are vocal overdubs available that are only released on DVD, not on CD.

2. The 50's TV appearances:
Yes I am aware that the recordings were all released before, but the story of the appearances, combined with great photo's ( there's a lot of them), some paperwork, advertisements and all the recordings in one place would do it for me.

3. The 1969 - february 1970 period:
Another highlight in Elvis' career. Again, there is great photo material at hand. Plus it would be a nice opportunity to release all the recordings from that 2nd Vegas season in one place, including the unreleased material. And who knows... maybe an unreleased Vegas rehearsal from 69 that hasn't been found yet (but that's dreaming). Not yet touched by FTD, bookwise.

This is a good one .
I like to see Elvis at Stax complete with Book and 68 comeback special as first with Book and on FTD vinyl .
And a boxsets plus book of Jan - Feb On Stage.
And more ' 71 stuff .

I’ve heard that they are working on one of those movie memorabilia books that covers Elvis’ last five movies.

But going forward to 2027, I would like to see a book from David English & Co that covers the CBS Elvis in Concert and the June ‘77 final tour that would house the original album on CD, together with both shows presented as proper shows with no fans talking. Whether those two shows were completely recorded on multi tracks, I’m not sure, but they were recorded as soundboards. And to finish it off, the very final show at Indianapolis. I would see this as something close to the big book produced for The Final Curtain bootleg release but without the videos.

To me, it would be a fitting end if FTD were looking at calling it a day around the 50th anniversary.

I like the idea of a World’s Fair book but they would have to have enough interesting material regards of what movie they covered.

I love the idea of a '68 comeback special book and one covering '69 -'70 would also be fantastic.

I'd quite like one about Fun In Acapulco although, I'll be honest, the FTD books I have are some of the older titles. These more recent monster books are just too expensive when I'm more of a music man.

It's always nice to hear those demo's. Sometimes Elvis (and the band) followed the arrangement on the demo almost exactly, sometimes they worked on it and a different arrangement was created. It's good if FTD adds the most interesting demo's to a set like the ones we are discussing.

I don’t know exactly the standards to reject a demo version; of course the demo needs to match with the scene where it’s written for. Elvis and or director from the movie must agree with a demo. Paying royalties etc does play a role too.
