Angie Marchese told that ALL found material has been restored for later projects. So, it might be tempting to get a modern film that catches more new fans in cinema and TV first. A movie that transports Elvis in the modern world with modern cuts and yes .. maybe modern supporting overdubs. And maybe later the collectors projects.
We have been told repeatedly over the past few years that all the footage had already been restored digitally for both movies In fact a site that was petitioning for the release of a new revamped Elvis on Tour had been told that such a project had already been given the green light by Warner’s but Covid struck so things were shelved. So back then, projects could have been done but were not.
I think Angie just likes telling people what they want to hear. She advocates that the Aloha show was beamed live around the world and was seen by 1.5 billion viewers.

Not really. Even if you add all the people that watched it days or months later or 5 years later in the UK to the 180 million who could have watched it ‘live’ in the Pacific region if they had TVs, you would not get close to 1 billion, let alone 1.5 billion.

She was also of certainty that the 1969 opening night acetate was genuinly the 1969 opening show when played on a gates of Graceland episode. Even though it was the concert that most people know as the August 3rd show.

IIRC, Channeling Elvis did the calculation and came close to less than half a billion
