Whilst obviously not featured in EPiC, I heard from a very reliable source that some footage from the '61 Hawaii show absolutely exists.

The Hawaii 57 footage is 10 minutes long but they only used a few parts for Epic...Iwillbetrue wrote: September 28th, 2025, 1:53 pmYes 1957.Johnny2523 wrote: September 28th, 2025, 9:43 am1957

I was there too. It was an amazing experience. The combination of two wonderful huge talents. I dont think I've ever seen a better, more touching Elvis documentary, sound poem, whatever you want to call it. Goosebumps! I really hope this will run in cinemas around the world, imax should be an amazing experience. I think there were about 4 people from the Netherlands and we met a lovely younger couple (30 year olds) that drove all the way from Belgium.

Re: EPiC - new film - thoughts from the premiere
I’m late in posting this but I was at the September 6th premiere in Toronto.
Two men in their 60’s discuss all things Elvis after the worldwide premiere of EPiC - Elvis Presley In Concert. Yesterday was a worldwind viewing EPiC, which was spectacular. The quality of the footage from 1970 and 1972 is incredible. Especially the 1972 footage that was filmed on 16mm as opposed to 35mm for the 1970 footage. The sound is out of this world
So many others have posted about their thoughts on the movie already, but as you can see, my night didn’t end until the early morning hours of September 7th
I had a chance to talk to Jonathan Redmond the film editor last night. He did say, despite the fact that they used short clips of some of the songs they would like to put them out in their full versions at some point likely on the Blu-ray extended version that will come out sometime next year, I believe.
I can’t thank our son Sean, his Montreal friend Kevin and Baz Luhrmann and his Toronto (Kory) and Australian PR teams enough. They were so gracious and wonderful… and Baz is a true gentleman and a joy to talk to, and he is a sincere and true Elvis fan.

Re: EPiC - new film - thoughts from the premiere
I must admit I was a bit skeptical, but from what I've seen and heard so far, this film is the best thing that could happen to us Elvis fans. Not only has Baz made a film that demolishes the "Fat Elvis In Vegas" cliché for a wider audience and (rightly) presents Elvis as one of the greatest performers ever, which will surely attract a new audiences (just like the 2022 film did).
But thanks to the collaboration between Sony Vision, Authentic Studio, and Warner Bros. (all three have a stake in the film, as Sony holds the music rights, Authentic holds the general trademark rights, and Warner holds the film rights), there's a good chance that, if successful, they'll collaborate on more films like this in the coming years to sky rocket "their" Elvis brand.
And we're also hearing Baz Luhrman and Jonathan Redmond talking about releasing a Blu-ray box set with complete versions of the songs used in EPIC.
This film opens so many new opportunities, but it needs to be a resounding commercial success.
So go and see EPIC in the cinema and not once or twice, see it 3 or 4 times. Just to be sure. It is an investment in future joy for the entire fanbase

Some more tasty tidbits from the film, including the much anticipated & unreleased "Never Been To Spain" from Hampton Roads.
