Always on her mind!
After all these years, Priscilla Presley still listens to songs by her late ex-husband, Elvis, she told fans at a stop on her Priscilla Presley Talk Tour at SoulJoel’s in Pottstown, Pennsylvania, on Sunday, December 7.
And they still leave her cryin’. “I listen to Elvis songs at home,” the Dallas alum, 80, revealed. “But they all make me sad.”
Priscilla was a fan when she met the rock and roll icon at 14, and was later married to him from 1967 to 1973. He died four years later at age 42.
The actress has previously said her favorite songs of his were “Don’t,” “Just Pretend,” “I Can’t Help Falling in Love” and “It’s Now or Never” — the last of which was also Elvis’ favorite.
When they ended their marriage, Elvis famously sang Dolly Parton’s “I Will Always Love You” to her.
“Elvis loved the song,” Parton told BBC Radio 2 of the famous tune, which Elvis had hoped to record. “In fact, I talked to Priscilla not very long ago. She said, ‘You know, Elvis sang that song to me when we were walking down the courthouse steps when we got divorced.”
