It is a general starting point that the BPI have used for lots of records because that was the year when iTunes made lots of music available for downloads. So this award like many other singles (which are not actual physical singles and not just Elvis either) will be for downloads or more importantly in recent years streaming, built up primarily since 2009 from people who started streaming from places like Spotify when that started out - the song would be taken from a variety of album sources, such as 50 Greatest or Essential albums.elvis-fan wrote: December 9th, 2025, 9:10 amWhat is this for?
