There was a photo shoot arranged with pictures of Elvis and the Colonel, Elvis and Steve Sholes and Elvis and fellow RCA recording artist Eddy Arnold who happened to be in New York for a session.
The photos were taken in RCA's 24th Street studio and the studio action shots would not only be used on the back cover of Elvis' first album in 1956 but also on multiple releases into the next century.
These were iconic Elvis Presley poses.
