This looks like a very interesting release for us vinyl collectors.
I have several releases from this label and they are worth to collect.

Publicity for 'The Best Of Seventyone' stated: Petticoat records is back! This time with a fantastic vinyl album full of selected tracks recorded in 1971.
Elvis spent more than 10 days in the studio during this year. In 1971, 3 original albums were released. 'Elvis Country', 'Love Letters' and 'The Wonderful World Of Christmas'. Only the latter featured songs recorded in 1971. Recordings for the first two albums were done in 1970.
Most recordings made in 1971 ended up (besides on the Christmas Album) on the 1972 album release of 'Elvis Now' and 'He Touched Me' and on the 1973 album release of 'Elvis' (aka the 'Fool' album).
This high-quality 180 grams virgin vinyl pressing is now available in orange or yellow vinyl.
And as always housed in a stunning full color sleeve suitable for framing! Don't miss out on this wonderful limited edition album. Of course, a bonus CD featuring all tracks is included.
Tracklisting LP:

It looks very nice indeed. But I will have to pass. The coming months all my budget will be spent on the coming MOV releases and at the mega record fair in Den Bosch in a couple of months. There I will be on the lookout for "old" British and German Elvis vinyl.
But for my information... As you have some of their releases. Is the sound of these releases good? (Silent? Clear? No pops and clicks?Flat vinyl?).

If the MRS label had done a release like this, there would be some crying "foul" claiming the recordings had been stolen from Sony/FTD. Which of course they effectively have as these recordings are certainly not in the public domain and won’t be for another 16 years. Clearly, Sony aren’t bothered, neither it would seem are Warner’s/MGM, as this label has used recordings lifted from MGM soundtracks on their other releases. Personally, I don’t see the attraction for this release as everything for 1971 must be available via Sony & FTD releases anyhow, and the typeface used is awful.

Well, they indeed sound good (the source is always other bootlegs of official outtakes), the vinyl is thick and flat, coloured vinyl so there could be a pop here and there to be honnest.
But interesting enough to buy.

Well they should sound good when they are being copied from official recordings, but if the recordings are not in public domain, then the money is not going to the proper channels and Sony have put the recordings out on their Elvis Back in Nashville CD and vinyl releases. So I’m curious, but what makes this release interesting enough to buy.

Because it's a nice compilation, some stuff not released on vinyl and above that: i think it's a nice collection of '71 takes to have on vinyl.
I don't think from any other bootleg in our collection has the profit ging to "proper channels/Sony, yet they are an essential part of collecting.
And everyone who buys boots, buy the official ones too (in various copies)...

Obviously no bootlegs have money going to official channels, that’s why they are classed as being bootlegs and are seen as illegal. But do you buy the MRS releases - are you okay with them and that’s really what I am trying to find out too.

Real to real tapes bootlegs as concerts is the best , i dont like the MRS fake stereo.
Same as the fake stereo Hound dog on Elvis portrait in music lp . Mono is best In Hound dog.

If you have channel separation, then it cannot be fake stereo. This isn’t like electronic stereo prom the 60’s.

Soundboard s was recorded as Mono i thought ?
MRS does it on a software so that not the real deal on real tapes.

It doesn’t matter if it is the real deal. If someone has the hardware and software that can extract and isolate different and specific sounds from a mono recording, and place those different sounds onto two separate channels, then it becomes a stereo sound. Mono is one channel and stereo is two channels.

Natural human hearing is stereo. In fact it is even 3- dimensional. Each ear picks up sound slightly different depending on distance, volume, tone etc.. And with both ears combined the brain can determine exactly where the sound comes from (360°). So I think the sound in a concert would be, at least, stereo. Unless, of course, you are deaf in one ear...

My point indeed:
Creating stereo soundboards is a way of making the sound more like the audiences experienced it at the time.
