This was the first Elvis book that I bought when I was around 12.

It has an great biography overview, details of the studio sessions and movies, but the section of the book that I most poured over was the catalog of records by country.

Lots of rare photos! especially for the time period, not so rare now once people started making fan pages and sharing in web 1.0 before everyone decided to start charging for what they used to give for free in web 2.0

you know, reading this wide a range of types of writing as a kid

fiction stories, poems and songs, catalog listings.. it is all about how we organize and present the information, eh?

It was a brilliant book, one of my early acquisitions, but now long gone.
