Did any of you win any of the Joopiter auctions?

Hello,

I was fortunate to win the auction for one of the film posters that was autographed by Baz Luhrmann. It's the film poster that was displayed outside the theater when I went and saw the film three years ago.

Thank you!

Back in August, I went to Steel City Con in Monroeville, Pennsylvania and got autographs from Mike Tyson, John Schneider, John Cusak and Jen Taylor. David Wenham was supposed to be there too but he had to postpone because he was filming something in Australia. He's said that he would reschedule but hasn't said when yet. I'm going again in December 2025, where Charlie Sheen, Hank Azaria , Robert Patrick (played Elvis's father Vernon in the 2005 Elvis TV miniseries with Jonathan Rhys Meyers), Katey Sagal (who's father Boris Sagal directed Girl Happy), Frank Welker (who was in The Trouble with Girls) and others. I'm hoping David Wenham reschedules for December 2025 and I will have him autograph the film poster. He played Hank Snow in the film.

I do. For any perceived flaws in Baz Luhrmann's Elvis Presley biopic film from 2022, I think the best part of the film is the 1968 NBC television special.

I'd like to get the film poster autographed by others in the film (Austin Butler, Tom Hanks, Olivia DeJonge, Richard Roxhugh, Helen Thomson, Dacre Montgomery, etc. Then I would like to take it and get it framed in a really nice frame with UV protection glass like I did with my 20" x 30" print of a photo of Elvis and Ann-Margret.

I don't disagree with that...

Congratulations, it is a cool poster indeed. To answer your question: we all have our own priorities in collecting and I prefer to spend my available budget on my vinyl collection so I didn't consider bidding.

I received the movie poster today via FedEx. I'm going to call it the Shroud of Luhrmann. It reminds me of the Shroud of Turin. The thing is freaking huge.
