Nawww... They couldve replicated the TCB band, this is sloppy

Yes and it could be argued that Luhrmann is trying to re-write history by producing a sound that was not true the actual performance.

if it works for you, then fine, but enhanced overdubbed sound on one clip doesn’t mean that this will be the only clip that it is applied to. If Luhrmann wants an updated kind of sound, it’s going to be a bit odd going from one scene with that beefed up sound to another that does not. And what’s with the slowed down re-worked Dirty Dirty Feelin’ which sounds like an outtake from the soundtrack of the 2022 movie.

I think it is too early to trash the movie. In a few days we will find out what is in the movie and what’s good and what isn’t. Then we can trash it. Until then we can all take a deep breath and stay calm.

We’ve had a few of people comment on the overdubbed sound from one short uploaded clip and probably in the hope that it is 1) not necessarily replicated throughout the whole movie and 2) that Luhrmann hasn’t gone overboard with his re-creations of Elvis’ music scattered throughout the movie. I don’t see that as trashing the movie but just a few personal concerns of what we might get.

Does that mean we should never discuss anything based on advanced teaser info. The thing here is that we have a clip from the movie where sound has been overdubbed. That's factual and that is what is being commented on with fans either liking it or not liking it so much, and nothing else.

I'm hoping that this EPiC project will open doors to more future projects down the road that will unearth more footage from the vaults. 50 hours of footage is quite a lot to sift through.

Luhrmann said that they have been working for two years on it. So hopefully some basic grading and audio synch would be already done
