It should be this one... correct?

Yep, it was included with this one

It's a shame they're not doing anything anymore.
I miss them every day.
There have been many great bootleg labels over the last three decades, and Venus is probably my favorite
because of all the unreleased 1970s studio outtake releases.
I totally agree with you!

That’s the one. It was not included with my copy but later a friend gave me a slightly worn copy.

These tracks are not exactly Elvis' opus magnum... but still... here it is.

Many of these outtakes are also in the very limited Celluloid Rock (Volume 1) released by the Cool Romeo label.
Thanks @Mike C. I know, but I limit it to the most complete releases I have in my own collection. Indeed, these takes are released on several boots. The Celluloid boxes were very nice at the time!
When collectors discuss essential Elvis audio releases, the spotlight often falls on the Follow That Dream (FTD) releases. Yet one label from the late 1990s and early 2000s continues to stand out as unexpectedly significant: Cool Romeo and its Celluloid Rock & Unsurpassed Masters series.

Released between 1998 and 2002, these sets appeared during a time when high-quality archival Elvis material was still rare and scattered across uneven bootlegs. Cool Romeo entered the scene with a different approach: carefully curated, alternate takes, session reels, and studio chatter presented in structured, well-thought-out volumes. Unlike many informal fan-made releases of the era, these weren’t rough tape transfers — they were professionally prepared collections with shockingly good sound quality.

To this day, there is no definitive answer. Some believe private collectors had safety copies. Others theorize industry insiders leaked tapes during RCA’s transitional corporate years. Whatever the truth, Cool Romeo’s output demonstrated one thing clearly: these releases were not sourced from fan-dubbed cassettes, they came from high-quality tape lineage.

And in many cases, the results rival — or even surpass — official releases.

A striking example is “Power of My Love” (Take 1). On Cool Romeo’s Unsurpassed Masters series, the take is noticeably more complete compared to the version later issued on FTD’s American Sound 1969 session box. Cool Romeo preserved additional studio chatter and musical lead-in material that gives listeners a fuller sense of the recording environment, something serious collectors value highly.

Even today, decades later, many collectors still regard these sets as reference-level listening. While FTD ultimately expanded the archive with more complete material, alternate takes, and historical context, Cool Romeo’s releases remain:
- historically significant,
- sonically impressive,
- and crucial stepping stones in the evolution of serious Elvis archival collecting.

In hindsight, Cool Romeo’s Unsurpassed Masters & Celluloid Rock weren’t just another bootleg series, they were part of the shift that proved there was demand for complete, well-presented studio sessions rather than random compilations. That pressure arguably helped shape the direction of later official archival releases.
I completed my collection on the above releases today based on comments from JoeyCoco on page 3 so have all these box sets now!! :D

Please post some more Bilbobaggins as this is an awesome thread thanks to you and others.

@Sweet-Angeline : I will, but first I have to check my 70's part of my sessions-file. I think I covered about 95% of the officially unreleased outtakes that are on boots. I know there are some unreleased takes on a couple of Venus releases.

I don't include alternate mixes, edits etc. Only outtakes. Also are the outtakes I mentioned so far also released on other bootlegs, but I only mention one source that I have in my own collection (the source I consider being the best quality).

So... I will look into this sooner or later!

Yes indeed John. But, of course, there are still session-sets to be released.

That's right. It was created because of all the heat the Bilko label received after issuing the There's Always Me sets.

Speaking of bootlegs 1995 is my favorite year as it was incredible how many
great titles released that year.
Also we got the first DAE CD and I just couldnt believe how great their first
release sounded (old times they are not forgotten)
Even today its one of the best sounding soundboards releases out there.
