Which year? Well… since next week still miraculously falls within 2025, I’m going to take a wild guess and say… 2025.

Although, it may be New Year for UK fans as it seems to take longer to arrive here, plus there is the sorting and packing to do before sending them out in the busy Christmas post. I could be wrong of course - and will be pleasantly surprised if I am

It looks like there's a delay with the December releases now. Although the GI Blues set has been sitting in the factory ready to be shipped for weeks now, they're waiting to ship the vinyl too, which has to have the cover repressed!
Honestly, you couldn't write it!

According to Johan (ElvisCorner), the new FTD releases are on their way to the dealers, as we speak, and should arrive sometime next week. The Belgian UEPS has confirmed the same. Still, it’s cutting things very close for anyone hoping to put these under the Christmas tree, given the holiday shipping rush.
And once again, FTD hasn’t managed to get a book/CD combo out in time for Christmas. The G.I. Blues box has been finished for weeks, yet we’re still waiting, most likely because the Good Times vinyl wasn’t ready (for the umpteenth time). Honestly, the vinyl shouldn’t matter that much. The box set could have been in dealers’ hands a while ago.

Who knows... looks indeed like your question will still not be answered. 2026 is getting more and more realistic. Still hoping for Christmas though... Unbelievable!

Well what is your interpretation of an actual FTD “release date”.
Most record companies announce a release date and that is when the record will be available to go into a shop and buy or find it available on a digital platform to download or stream or even order on line from Amazon who will generally get the item to the buyer if the day of release. Sunset Boulevard as a mainstream release had a release date of Friday 1st August 2025. It was available to buy from my local record shop on that day and it was available to stream on that day, and Amazon despatched my copy on the last day of July so that I had it on the 1st August.
FTD do not actually have proper release dates. They have anticipated shipping dates of something like “Week Commencing”. And then it is down to when the deliveries to the various dealers are made and then how quickly the dealer can get the item to the customer. There are three main dealers in the UK that I am aware of, and only one has managed to get their supply in before the other two. So even if someone ordered the release today from one of the other two, there is still no guarantee that they would have the item in stock or that the buyer would get the item in the next day or so.
And that’s why with so many variables kicking in, then for me, the release date is when I get hold of my copy.
