@colonel snow, could you please create a new topic for these scans/pics of Elvis records downloaded from the Internet? This thread is for discussing Elvis vinyl.

Otherwise we will just end up with a thread flooded with pics not related to anything where it hard to find any discussions. Thanks!

In the past I've uploaded a lot of scans with rare records from all over the world on a no longer active/excisting forum.
I thought it was a good idea to show here what's circulating of "rare" records by tranferring (partly) these records to this forum.

I like that starting point @colonelsnow, but this thread is for "Elvis vinyl related discussion". So I do agree with @JohnnyByeBye: 11 Uploads on one day (November 25) and another 6 the next day is a tsunami of posts that prevent any kind of discussion. I feel your contributions deserve a thread on its own. People who appreciate your contributions (like me!) will definitely know where to find you and respond to it.

11 Uploads in a row like on November 25 is far too much within any existing thread and as an unintended side effect, can in my opinion be disrespectful to the other contributors: People are often investing energy and effort in their posts to share their insights and knowledge or to add to the conversation. I remember that I'd spent considerable time developing posts on FECC a couple of times, carefully crafting research into text and adding photos from my collection to add to the conversation in the thread. Only to find that hours later, Colonel Snow posted dozens of scans in a row, completely burying previous posts and obscuring these, preventing any interaction on the matter at hand. Let's try to avoid that here.

I agree with the posts above. A dedicated thread would be great. I would be nice to have all those scans from rare demo's, labels and sleeves in one thread... that would be a treasure chest in itself! And an easy way to be able to scroll through all those beauties.

I hear there are some imperfections on the latest editions of "From Elvis in Memphis", so i had to check again.
Among the versions i have these are the two latest.
The European Music on Vinyl one from 2019 on yellow vinyl

And the latest 'worldwide' Sony music version but printed in Germany ,on Bloody Mary red vinyl

I'm happy to say that i have no sound issues at all, in fact, the 2025 might be the best sounding version i have.

So even thought the same lacquers are used for the MOV and the Sony, the SONY sounds better due to the pressing plant?

Definitely possible, however Record Industry in Holland is generally a great pressing plant.

Good question. Good question. I bought several FTD vinyls, including Hot August Night, and found the sound quality to be very poor. I expected a little more clarity in the treble and bass, but found the sound to be quite dull.

I don't know how FTD manages to make the sound quality of these vinyls inferior to CDs. In fact, they should have a higher reproduction range, in hertz, than CDs.

They can go higher in hertz than cd's, but if the records are cut from the cd's, it doesn't matter.
If they are cut from analogue tapes or high resolution files it's a different story.

It's impossible that these FTD vinyl titles are cut directly from the original tapes because Sony won't loan the tapes to other studios for the past 20 years. The only exception was Sterling Sound, when they were still located in New York.

A while ago I got these two 'INTS pressing'. As far as I know, the only 'INTS' part is the fold-over sticker in the left upper corner. Apparently RCA UK took the leftover stock from 1977 and released them as INTS in 1981. So that makes the Loving You LP the fake stereo version. No mystery there...

What I am curious about is why they were re-released this way? Why not sell them, maybe at lower price, as RCA Victor releases?
