Indeed, wich makes it (for me) the most interesting soundwise.
I only miss volume 5 (let it pass a year ago at 40€), but i'm sure it will turn up someday again on my way... :D

Thanks nice to hear.
Volume 1 you can find anywhere indeed.
Volume 2 and 3 should not be too hard, but 4 and 5 requires some patience and cash.

Vinyl collecting is fun and sometimes gives big thrills when you score some nice records for a nice price. Today I got some goosebumps when getting my copy of...

German pressing of LOC-1035

I found it in an local web site where people can sell their used goods. I caught this right after the seller had put this up there for a very affordable price. Since this lp is one of the hardest to find "normal" german lp's from the 50's-60's, it only took me 10 seconds to make up my mind and I sent message to the seller that I wanted to buy it. This was in the evening and I heard nothing from the seller. I was sure that someone else had beat me to it. But on the next morning the seller replied that he would sell to me. Today I picked this up. It really is a beauty! It is in VG condition but still complete with an original German inner from around 1961 which I value very much.

Based on Discogs vs. the label on my copy, my copy is from 1960. What makes it interesting is that my copy has the German RCA inner sleeve with ad for His Hand In Mind on it, so the inner must be from at least 1961. Could it be that RCA / Teldec had old stock of the vinyl and when they shipped it out, they combined it with the latest inner sleeve available at the time of shipping(?)

The 7 German versions of LOC-1035 with the red sleeve are listed here: https://www.discogs.com/master/198519-E ... ry=Germany

Does any of you happen to have any German pressings of LOC-1035 with the red sleeve? It would be very interesting to see various versions and various combinations of the sleeve, label and the inner sleeve. Please post pics of your copies! :)

That's an excellent copy @JohnnyByeBye. Very solid and gorgeous set. Your label seems the German S5 label to me which was introduced in 1960 so that dates beautifully with your 1960-1961 inner sleeve. On German pre-1960 labels the circle containing the RCA logo in the top of the label was (much) larger.

Checked my collection and I own a pressing of LOC 1035 from a few years later (1964) on the V2 label. Inner sleeve appears the same as yours.
20251014_225739.jpg

Currently 2 1964 LOC 1035s V2 are on offer on Ebay for jaw dropping asking prices (not anywhere near what I paid for my copy):

LOC 1035 V2 for sale €1,799.99

LOC 1035 V2 for sale €999

If yours has the same label as mine,it is most likely S6 pressing which was manufactured 1960-1962.

As for the value of any of those german LOC-1035....only heaven knows. I think the cheapest asking price in Discogs is 200 EUR and Ebay.de 999 EUR. But these are asking prices... maybe no-one is prepared to pay such sums for these. Maybe the correct vallue is 30 EUR... who knows :) I paid 20 for mine, which was a good deal,IMHO.

Yours looks like the version Alexander has :) I like the text with song titles, instead of just a n empty text box.

With this front - cover it seems to be a third edition released for the first time around 1960.

Now that I bought the one version that I shared with you, I remembered that I actually own another German copy of LOC-1035 aswell..

By looking at the label (S6 again) and the sleeve, this is identical to my other one. But there is one small difference: on the front sleeve, next to the catalogue number and the round RCA logo,it does not contain "RCA Victor" like the other one does. The back cover is 1:1 with the other one.

A hypothesis that a fellow collector shared was that maybe this one is an older one from 1961 and the other one I shared earlier is from 1962 because it has the additional text "RCA Victor". Could be!

This one has a plain white (well nowadays brownish) old inner sleeve without any text. It probably isn't original although it seems old.

I've exact the same album LOC 1035 as described / pictured in the previous post. Probably from the mid 60's.
RCA Victor is not printed in the upper right corner at the front of the cover.

If your copy is exactly the same as the one without "RCA Victor" text,it is from a 1960-1962 period ,not mid-60's.
