Thank you so much for the insight!
Nice words and that is exactly the purpose of these posts: to share insights on various pressings. Small or big, we all have nice Elvis vinyl collections and we all have knowledge and insights to share that are valuable to other collectors. Whether it is about or common records: even the most common of the mainstream records holds a story some have never heard. Don't hold back, let's inspire each other ;)

Deng! :o Nice one, very nice.
Orange or Black label?

That might be a bridge too far. If you even plan to play these Quad records you need a Shibata styles ($300), a 4-channel demodulator (second hand $200) and a quad amplifier ($1200) or an alternative would be to connect 2 amplifiers. In other words: serious investment and planning is required to hear these in full glory. Out of frustration of this, I decided to buy the Q8 8tracks and built an alternative setup which resulted in the video on my channel. Apparently these quad mixes have also been available on Apple Music for some years now, which you can hear in full glory on a multichannel home cinema or audio set. But I am not so much into that new stuff

Yes, I guess nowadays it would be quite an undertaking to get a CD4 set, unless one still has it from the old days. Maybe AfoolSuchAsI still has one?

In the late 70's a friend of mine had such a set-up. I don't know how or what, I wasn't really interested in decent sound in those days. But he was! If I remember correctly, he had a chair in the middle of his 'music room' where he sat while listening to his quads.

Very good deal indeed. And you will hear differences in the mix, even when you play this on a regular stereo set.

That's how I listen to my quads (on 8track) as well: 2 speakers in front of me and 2 behind me, chair right in the middle of my (tiny) Elvis room. It's like sitting in the studio with the musicians around you. And the mixes in some cases are very different. I do not intent to plug my videos here with every post, but as we are discussing the matter and in the case anyone is interest in this subject: a while ago I did this video on the quad mixes...

That's a serious high end amplifier for sure.
Is Google right when it says it only supports 2 channel audio? Seems a bit odd to me, since most modern sets support multichannels.
Anyway, if your amp supports 4 channels than you also require a Shibata 4-channel Stylus and a Demodulator the be able to transfer the full quad mix on all channels from the record to your amp (on which you need to connect 2 speaker sets, front and back).

Excellent!
It is probably the only Elvis record I have played only once in my life.
In my collection I have the Orange and Tan label and a 1987 reissue by the Dutch It's Elvis Time fanclub.
Still miss the Boxcar though. Expensive indeed.
Congrats, fine addition.

1964 - 1968 Black Label White Top Stereo/ Monaural
In 1964 RCA Victor introduced a new label design (Black Label White Top) that became to replace all labels now in use and thus the entire Elvis catalog was repressed in both MONO (called MONAURAL on this label) and STEREO.

By 1964 STEREO was the format the record companies wanted to sell and the public wanted to buy so the Mono versions (LPM) from reissues from most soundtracks and studio albums from 1960-1964 are quite hard to find and expensive. Also soundtracks like Girls, Girls, Girls, Fun In Acapulco and It Happened At The Worlds Fair got a very limited repressing runs and are extremely rare. I unfortunately have no White Top Stereo or MONO reissue of It Happened At The Worlds Fair in my collection yet.
Alexander, I posted this before on the old FECC board but here is my copy of the Stereo reissue of It Happened At The World's Fair. According to Elvisrecords.com, there was a never a mono reissue of this LP.

Another super rare reissue is the 1964 Monaural reissue (Hollywood Pressing) of Fun in Acapulco. I am lucky to have one of those in my collection.

Yeah that's right, I remember your post.
Oh boy, that White Top IHAWF is so freaking hard to find.
May have seen it only once on Ebay since your post but had other bidding priorities.
Did manage to get both the LSP and LPM of the White Top Fun In Acapulco which are no easy finds either, especially the LPM is rare.
Thanks for sharing. This way we build a nice database overhere.

Just had a chance to read through the whole thread and loving it. The Quad Mix video was very cool.

Just curious, Alexander, what is your take on the Quad 8 mix of Elvis Country?

I know that mix is available on Apple Music but it has never been released previously. Not on 8Track nor on any other format. So I did not include it in my video nor did I hear it (have no subscription to Apple Music). So I couldn't tell. What's your opinion?
