It does appear that the solos have been edited out again. Danny boy, walk with me and my heavenly father from kalamazoo, and my heavenly father from st paul. Again lying in the press announcement that "all" songs recorded by the engineer are included.

“I Got A Woman/Amen” is a multi-track recording (Kalamazoo) but will remain in the vault. It isnt included on this set. This means just the 4 track recordings will appear on this release.

You are implying that multi-track and four-track are not the same thing, but they are. The shows were partly recorded on multi-track* and they were also partly recorded in mono on a different machine (i.e. the usual soundboard recording). It seems that the new FTD set only contains the mono soundboard recordings.

(* In his Recording Sessions book, Ernst stated that the shows were recorded on four-track tapes, but according to the Moody Blue FTD booklet, eight-track tapes were used.)

Correct. But a 4 track is the minimum. By standards, drums, guitar, bass. These days its uncommon to use 4 or 8 tracks. Youre right 4 track is multi-track, but limited. The more tracks, the better.

Those are from May. I guess each volume covers one particular month.

Correct. But also on May 3rd, for which soundboard recordings are available. And apparently not on April 25th. Only multi-track recordings. So what's your point? It all comes down to whether or not soundboard recordings are available.
