Pot Luck
The song was written by Doc Pomus and Mort Shuman. Registered at BMI – Elvis Presley Music.
The demo couldn’t be used for the movie Speedway because in 1962 an album with the same title was released.

According to an unconfirmed story Bobby Wood offered two demo recordings during february 1969 sessions:
The day after forever
– written by Stan Kesler and recorded in september 1961 by Bobby Wood.

Who am I – recorded around 1962 by Bobby Wood in the Sun studio but never released.
(Mentioned in the book A life in music – page 278).
Without doubt the song was known to Elvis with recordings by his favorite gospel quartets like (Statesmen Quartet (1966 – LP), Blackwood Brothers (1967 – LP), J.D. Sumner & The Stamps Quartet (1967 – LP) and many others.
Finally recorded on 22 february 1969 at American Studios.
