Re: Elvis vinyl related discussion
I don't know how rare it is, but I checked eBay to see what they're selling for and came across this 1971 copy for $67.00.
There are other copies selling at much lower prices, so maybe it's not very rare.

I don’t think it’s from 1971. Looking at the design I’d say it’s early 80’s.OnStage55 wrote: August 11th, 2025, 5:04 pm I don't know how rare it is, but I checked eBay to see what they're selling for and came across this 1971 copy for $67.00.

Re: Elvis vinyl related discussion
I think that question is almost impossible to answer. For example: A (near)mint first US pressing of Elvis' first LP would be extremely hard to find, but a poor copy of the same LP can easily be found. The same would be the case for, let's say, 50 WWGAH Volume 2 with the original piece of wardrobe included, as opposed to a copy without this piece.AfoolSuchAsI. wrote: August 26th, 2025, 11:35 am What is the most rare Elvis lp s from RCA !

But maybe someone on this forum can point out a specific LP or boxset?

If I may ask... do you have a photo of the record label? I'm very interested in what pressing this is. I'm always on the lookout for nice old vinyl, but I'm no expert. So there is still a lot to learn

I'm a little bit confused about this one because I always thought that the label in the right upper corner of the sleeve on '56 pressings was green, but this one isn't. I couldn't find this '56 pressing on discogs but they're not always complete...

At least there are two pressings on Discogs that match the cover and label. Listed on Discogs with the years 1958 (still very expensive) and 1961 (not expensive). However, the label with its matte black finish is more reminiscent of the 1961 pressing. It would now depend on the back cover. But in my opinion it is not a 1956 pressing.Bilbobaggins wrote: August 30th, 2025, 12:39 pmI couldn't find this '56 pressing on discogs but they're not always complete...

Re: Elvis vinyl related discussion
I don't know if you paid too much. But if it is a near mint copy it still is a nice item. If you are happy with your purchase... that's what counts the most. You bought some nice LP's.AfoolSuchAsI. wrote: August 31st, 2025, 2:11 pmYes its the last one from ' 61 . Have i pay it to high ? Bilbobaggins has some good points. The cover looks very nice, which is already worth a lot. Furthermore, whether the price is justified depends on the condition of the vinyl. Discogs currently only offers VG, and prices would be significantly higher for excellent condition. It is very difficult to find a US pressing from the late 50s or early 60s in very good or even excellent condition. A first pressing from 1956 in excellent condition would be in a completely different price range. If the LP sounds as good as it looks in your photo, then in my opinion the price is okay. Enjoy!

Is it better to buy it by eBay or by Discord or vinyl fairs ?
The other 3 lps are 15 euro s each lp . Thats makes it good for well .

Re: Elvis vinyl related discussion
In that case the price is more than ok.

The condition descriptions on Discogs are often not very accurate. Without corresponding photos, you can take a risk. In record stores or at record fairs, you know what you're getting. Your purchase was definitely a good decision.AfoolSuchAsI. wrote: August 31st, 2025, 3:24 pmIs it better to buy it by eBay or by Discord or vinyl fairs ?
