Elvis Presley‘s Graceland mansion continues to make the Christmas season magical.
For the eighth yer in a row, Graceland has been voted the No. 1 Best Holiday Historic Home Tour by USA TODAY.
According to the publication, “more than half a million” people visit the iconic estate in Memphis, Tenn., ever year, where they can tour the property at Christmastime to see all of the festive holiday decorations.
During the holiday season, Elvis’ former home features traditional Christmas lights and a life-sized nativity scene. The “Kentucky Rain” singer’s Santa and sleigh are also displayed on the front lawn of the property. Plus, a number of Presley family Christmas artifacts are also available to view throughout the home.
The official Instagram account for Graceland celebrated the news in a recent post featuring footage of some of the holiday magic that visitors can check out when they tour the property.
“There is still time to see the magic for yourself,” the post teased, noting that holiday tours are available to book through Dec. 23.
Elvis famously lived in Graceland mansion for 20 years from the time he bought the property in March 1957 until his death in August 1977. It served as the home where he and Priscilla Presley raised their only daughter together, Lisa Marie Presley.
Five years after the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll’s passing, the property was opened to the public and now serves as a historic Memphis museum and landmark.
Following Lisa Marie’s death in January 2023, her eldest daughter Riley Keough became the sole owner and trustee of the property, despite a brief legal dispute with Priscilla over Lisa Marie’s trust.
Elvis’ beloved property has been crowned the No. 1 Best Holiday Historic Home Tour since 2018, the same year it was also named the No. 1 Best Tennessee Attraction.
In 2015 it was named No. 1 Best Musical Attraction and No. 1 Best Historic Southern Attraction. It also earned the title of No. 1 Best Iconic American Attractions in 2013.
