Those early sleeves look great. In those days they sure knew how to make a nice design. Simple but beautifull.

Beautiful additions to any collection. Italy certainly has some beautiful cover alternates in its catalog. I have this From Elvis in Memphis in my collection (my copy is better than this quick Discogs rip ;)).

Thank you Alexander72.
Thought I'd add the rear cover and labels for this one. I did at one time acquire a second copy of this Italian pressing. If memory serves me correctly I did a trade it for another LP at a record fair many years ago 8-)

Is it an idea to make a sub-group for vinyl where you can place your scans per country?

Here a rare record from my collection.
A 78 RPM record made in Germany with the ELECTRA label which was used in Scandinavian countries and some in Holland as well.

A recent purchase is this Australian E.P. (RCA 20042), I think it was released in the mid-70's.

Side A: "Love Me", "So Glad You're Mine"
Side B: "Blue Suede Shoes", "I Love You Because"

Not too sure if the tracks on Side B were issued in error or not, because "B.S.S." is the 1960 version from "G.I. Blues", and "I.L.Y.B." is the alternate take first released on "Legendary Performer Vol. 1" from '74.

Any thoughts/info??

The original EP was released in Australia in 1956 and reissued a couple of times in1959 ( with, of course, the regular mastertakes) and later in 1980. There is no mention of alternate takes on side B however. The 1980 reissue seems to be part of a set of Australian EP reissues.

Why not precisely is our question?

That’s what this thread is all about, whether it’s vinyl LP’s, EP’s, Singles from anywhere in the world, please post pic / photos here. Elvis records were produced in many countries. My home country England (UK) having many rare pressings itself. Then we have of course the United States, Canada, Mexico, Australia, Germany, Italy, Japan, and South Africa to name just a few.

Elvis’s global popularity is what lead to RCA distributors and affiliates pressing records for their own home markets. This lead to many rare pressings being produced and the South African release of the ‘Jailhouse Rock LP ‘ is a typical example of this.

I’m not saying this thread should be just for RCA records only, I think we should include imports (bootleg) albums too, we can even include picture discs.

Please be our guest and as the thread title says ‘Show us your vinyl from around the world’. This forum is run by fans, for the fans.

Thank you :)

At the moment my focus is mainly on the early UK mono pressings and the UK 80's green label reissues. But every now and then I stumble upon a copy of a Japanese pressing and decide to take it home... I only have a couple of them, at this moment. Maybe when my UK's are complete I will start looking into those Japanese pressings.

One of the Japanese is this one. A Nice gatefold with booklet.

And then there is this one, wich sounds great btw! This album has really grown on me over the years. In the 70's I bought a Spanish pressing of R0R and it wasn't my favourite. But by now I do appreciate this soulful album.

So... here's my 2nd Japanese LP:

Interesting post Bilbobaggins thank you for showing the Japanese pressings. I have some in my collection which I'll sort out and post later.

I just dug out what I thought for years was the later repressing of the South African release of the Jailhouse Rock LP. I picked up my copy in 1980, it wasn't until I got my copy of The Bootleg book that my copy is probably a counterfeit / bootleg. So 40 plus years later I read this and I was shocked to find this out.

Note the 'Teal Record Company' on the labels. This was the South African label and was active from the 1940's to the 1990's. Hard to think that this is a bootleg. Ref: The Bootleg book, the original has a laminated cover, my copy doesn't.

I picked up another copy a few years ago, again probably a bootleg copy. it's a bit rough around the edges but I noticed 'The artone press Label' which my original copy doesn't. I believe 'Artone' are still in business in Johannesburg.

I thought I’d dig out a few unusual items from my collection. This first one is a French Christmas EP, I read towards the end of last year that it was going to be reissued along with a CD of the four tracks. I bought this one when it was first released.
