Yes, that seems to be the case. I should have bought it right away but was tied up with work.Alexander72 wrote: November 3rd, 2025, 1:32 amThanks for sharing. Great to take a peak into Ians amazing collection. Ian is a really great collector as well as seller on Ebay, bought many records off him.
Still on the hunt for that one as well. When looking for these kind of rarities apparently these price tags come with the purchase.Mike C wrote: November 1st, 2025, 10:09 am A record that I have been looking for came up for sale on ebay last week. I didn't pull the trigger immediately (because of its hefty price) but someone else did. It is the rare white top monaural edition of "Pot Luck With Elvis" in great condition. Oh well -- still on the hunt.

It took me some time to find out what this strange vinyl is all about. It was sold, some time ago, on popsike.com. This is what the seller states:
"Newly discovered from the RCA pressing plant in Indianapolis, Indiana! A never before seen blue vinyl experimental pressing of the Elvis Presley Quadradisc LP "Aloha from Hawaii via Satellite" RCA VPSX-6089 (CPRT-4748/CPRT-4749). "Aloha From Hawaii" was commercially released in 1973 as a double album. This record however is an experimental pressing and was never intended for commercial release. Part of this blue vinyl experimental pressing was to sample each of two weights of vinyl. Rigid (will not bend) and Dynaflex (flexible). An extremely small number of this first disc (4748/4749) was discovered, pressed in both rigid & Dynaflex vinyl, and my original understanding was that only one known copy (Dynaflex only) of the second disc (4750/4751) was found, although I've recently learned that there may be more than one but still an extremely small number of these also. The record was not issued with a cover but has a generic RCA Red Seal poly-lined inner sleeve. Instead of the usual "Side 1" and "Side 2", these orange Quadradisc labels are "Side A" and "Side B", and "Victor" is not found on these labels. Needless to say, this is an extremely rare and exciting new find in the Elvis Presley and record collecting world. This record will be gracing the cover of the new Presleyana VII to be released next month.
* Condition: Labels & vinyl are Mint. Sorry for my reflection in the vinyl when I was taking the digital photos above.
* Size: Standard 12 inch long play record.
* Shipping: Free USPS Priority Mail with signature confirmation for U.S. buyers. Canada & Overseas pay $50 for FedEx overnight shipping. The FedEx cost will likely be at least twice as much but I will pay for any difference.
* Guaranteed Authentic & Satisfaction Guaranteed!"

Not very likely to add this to ones collection I guess....

Another oldie that came to join my collection today...
1958, US, Indianapolis pressing. The vinyl is VG+, the sleeve has some wear and tape residu. A joy to my ears!
The inner sleeve puzzles me somewhat... I don't see it mentioned on this site: https://www.elvisrecords.com/inner-sleeves/

Re: Elvis vinyl related discussion
In 1968, RCA Victor in the US switched from black to orange labels. Around the same time, the 1950s records in stereo received a red "Electronically Reprocessed Stereo" sticker in the upper right corner of the cover.
Admittedly, I prefer mono to these fake-stereo versions on my record player, but these records are certainly nice collector's items.
Over the years, the albums with this red "Electronically Reprocessed Stereo" sticker have become a nice and quite valuable subset of my record collection.
Valuable, because the 1968-1970 releases with orange labels on rigid vinyl and these stickers on the cover typically have been proven valuable at auction with prices starting at around €75, with Elvis' Christmas Album (€150) and King Creole (around €250) being standouts.
In 1968, RCA was still in the midst of transitioning to the orange label. That's why you often find records with the old black "white top" label in the sleeve with the red "Electronically Reprocessed Stereo" sticker.
The red sticker disappeared from the cover at the end of 1970 when RCA introduced a new design for most of its records. So I was quite surprised when I found a version of "A Date With Elvis" in a batch of purchased records, featuring a record made of extremely flexible vinyl. RCA would introduce the well-known dynaflex vinyl to the American market in 1971.

Re: Elvis vinyl related discussion
Thanks @AfoolSuchAsI. I only showed a couple (first 3) of these in my last episode. And upon recording that episode the Orange Label King Creole was not in my collection yet. Now that I have completed the series I plan to do an episode on these RED ERS Sticker releases in the upcoming months so this post is a bit of a heads upAfoolSuchAsI. wrote: November 7th, 2025, 4:25 am Hi Alexander, great founds i saw you all this lps showing on your fantastic youtube canal![]()

I have no deep knowledge on the Australian catalog but it sure sounds like a nice collectable. I also have purchased quite a few NM condition Elvis LP's from him over the past few years...Alexander72 wrote: November 3rd, 2025, 1:32 am Thanks for sharing. Re: Elvis vinyl related discussion
When it comes to vinyl singles, I don't really buy any new ones anymore. I have all "standard" RCA singles and EP's that Elvis put out during his lifetime. Most of them I own as German pressings as well. I don't collect international singles, promos or some slight sleeve variations of the standard singles either.
But when browsing Discogs a couple of months ago,I noticed some Italian singles from the 60's that caught my eye. Being a fan of many Italian things, the sleeve designs were so unique to me I couldn't pass them up. All of them had to do with songs that were originally Italian or were covered as Italian version.
I especially like the great background images on sleeves of Surrender and It's Now or Never which are clear copy-paste -jobs but create a unique retro athmosphere of Italy in the 60's.
pretty unique design, but that's what Italy is known for, right?
Sleeve of In The Ghetto with "Bambolina" on the flip side is of course cool as heck much like the Italian sleeve of From Elvis In Memphis which hold the same coolness. No More a.ka "La Paloma" also charts previously unknown territory for Elvis single design... pretty sure Parker didn't come up with this design in his office
Three (!) of these singles also have names written on the sleeve (In The Ghetto) or on the labels. Unlike most collectors of vinyl, I usually don't mind having names written on the sleeve that much. These records have played part in people's lives who have enjoyed them and I think that's a beautiful idea. So having "Donatella" or "Roberto" written on there somewhere just adds appeal to these ancient,60-year old vinyl singles.

LesterB wrote: October 11th, 2025, 8:52 am I meant to buy Harem Holiday FTD vinyl but ordered California Holiday instead by accident!
Anyway, I've opened it up and currently playing side 1. WOW!!!!! Hands down this is the best FTD vinyl that I have heard. It sounds fantastic and is laying on the turntable flat. As many of you know, I think most FTD vinyl sound dreadful so this is a great surprise.
Does anyone know who cut this? I wonder if Girl Happy and Harem Holiday have been cut by the same person??
Hello Lester, i don't have the 'California Holiday' FTD vinyl(yet) but right now the "Harem Holiday" plays.
Well, as far as soundquality of the masters on vinyl, this is the one to get.
No idea who cut this, but on both records an 'H.R' is etched in the deadwax .
The credits give info as (air)mastered by Henry Rudkins.
But this album is higly recomended.

.
IMO its much better to waith instead of buying a worn copy of a album...and `"ring wear" or split seam is a big no no.
I remember as a kid having a huge challenge getting this LP in the 80s as it was OOP.
