As Ernst pointed out, January is not a good month to encourage people into cinemas. They need to get maximum bums on seats for this to be successful. We’ve waited a couple of decades for something new, so I’m sure we can wait a month or so longer beyond January. .

I saw it at TIFF in IMAX.
If possible, do yourself a favour and see it in IMAX.
It was superb.

Jerry Schilling gives his two cents about the new film......

Jerry Schilling is such a class act and probably the smartest member of the Memphis Mafia ever. Hard to believe he's in his early 80's. A very distinguished looking man.

When Mr. Schilling speaks he does so with careful precision. He is always thoughtful and introspective. Glad to see that he collaborated with editor Jonathan Redmond quite a bit during his work on the film. I often think that Jerry could have made a great manager for Elvis once he grew into the role. One of my very favorite people in the entire Elvis world. I am so glad that Elvis bought him that home.

"If the songs don't go over, we can do a medley of costumes."

I know I’m probably the only one, but I’m much more excited about a Blu-ray/4K release
or the streaming option than the cinema release.
Most likely, I won’t see it in a cinema—there are many reasons, including my health and
the fact that there’s no cinema close by.
The nearest ones are about a one-hour drive away—both a standard cinema and an IMAX.

Thanks @BrianTCB for the Trailer link!

The movoe looks to be incredible! Suh crisp and vobrant colors, great edits,Elvis's own words... If there ever was a dream in my head that once in my lifetime I would see a properly done film with unreleased early 70's footage presenting Elvis at his peak, this is the perfect fullfillment of that dream.

For once the footage and the audio has been handled by a party that has the technical ability, the funds, and most importantly the artistic vision to present the best post 50's version of Elvis.

Also comes to mind that could this film finally be the thing that starts to chamge the general public's mindset of the "Fat Las Vegas Elvis"!?? That image of Elvis was a bit distorted anyway - largely based on Elvis's performance during the last couple of years of his lifetime, and not necessarily Las Vegas but the tours. Although naturally Las Vegas played a part of the downhill that originally to started in 1972-73. Lets hope thusfilm succeeds finally and it is seen by as many people as possible.

Gonna drive 2 hours and catch this in iiMax on 20th of Feb (health permitting), and I don't mind a bit!
Looking forward to this.
