Much like the time Gwenyth Paltrow forgot she was in Spider-Man, Conan O'Brien recently sat down to watch a documentary about Elvis, only to discover that he's featured in the film but forgot.

This week (October 27) on the podcast Conan O'Brien Needs a Friend, guest Judd Apatow mentioned seeing Conan in the 2024 Netflix documentary Return of the King: The Fall and Rise of Elvis Presley.

"They shot that a long time ago, or a while ago, and I forget things," O'Brien began, adding, "This is a real story."

He continued, "I love all things Elvis. I see that there's this thing about the '68 Comeback Special. I'm like, 'Oh, I'll watch this.' So I'm watching it in the TV room, and all of a sudden I heard a very familiar voice saying, 'You have to remember where Elvis was in his career in 1968.' And I'm like, 'What the fuck?' And I am in the documentary, a lot, and I didn't remember that I had done this! And the next thing I know, I'm nodding, going, 'He's right.'"

In fairness to O'Brien, he's been absolutely everywhere lately — in the John Candy documentary, playing a dramatic acting role in If I Had Legs I'd Kick You, hosting a podcast and the Oscars, and starring in his own travel show.
