i would be very interested to to hear about the sound quality of the Harem Holiday vinyl.
I posted elsewhere that I had bought California Holiday by mistake and was amazed by how good it sounds - hoping Harem Holiday will be the same

My good friend David Ward has done a thorough review of "The Last Tours Volume 3" FTD....

...it`s ok as long as you don`t have the 70 version to compare it withTCB-FAN wrote: October 23rd, 2025, 10:52 am "The Wonder Of You" April 30th, 1977, St. Paul, MN. (Complete Sound Sample)

Not too bad really. Along the lines of the 1975 versions vocally. Lyrically obviously unrehearsed, but its nice to have the final version of it on SB.Sweet-Angeline wrote: October 23rd, 2025, 11:54 am...it`s ok as long as you don`t have the 70 version to compare it withTCB-FAN wrote: October 23rd, 2025, 10:52 am "The Wonder Of You" April 30th, 1977, St. Paul, MN. I’m sorry. How can anyone say this Wonder Of You is ok? It’s terrible as is this whole tour. We hold Elvis to a very low standard when we find these shows acceptable. He totally disrespected his fans with these performances.

Sad but true. A few highlights can be found here and there, but most of the shows presented here are a sorry affair. Elvis openly admitting that he has backup singers covering for him broke my heart.lechersteve wrote: October 26th, 2025, 2:02 pm I’m sorry. How can anyone say this Wonder Of You is ok? I'd still like to see this series continue and I hope we get at least one more release at some point next year. I'm not passionate about it though and I see it as an exercise to officially document these concerts. Ann Arbor was on my list for a long time because of the 'Moody Blue' connection and now that's covered.

You are right indeed. This is exactly the reason why I stopped buying all the FTD soundboard releases some time ago. There was no joy for me anymore in listening to the man I admire, while he won't (or can't) even be a shadow of himself. He is still my number 1 entertainer, but I can't bring myself to buy or listen to these subpar performances anymore. Not even for completeness' sake.lechersteve wrote: October 26th, 2025, 2:02 pm I’m sorry. How can anyone say this Wonder Of You is ok? It’s terrible as is this whole tour. Re: Harum Scarum Vinyl & The Last Tours, Vol. 3
I was at this show and at the two he did in St. Paul in October 1974. For some unexplainable reason, he did The Wonder Of You at all three of these shows. He didn’t do the song often then nor in 1977. The single from 1970 is a strong favorite of mine but not these St. Paul versions. The ‘74 versions were only minimally better than this ‘77 one.lechersteve wrote: October 26th, 2025, 2:02 pm I’m sorry. How can anyone say this Wonder Of You is ok? For the record, I left that arena that night with a broken heart.

fans holding Elvis to no standards explains much of his movie career, ehlechersteve wrote: October 26th, 2025, 2:02 pm I’m sorry. How can anyone say this Wonder Of You is ok? Re: Harum Scarum Vinyl & The Last Tours, Vol. 3

I got this from the second printing
I have played it 5 times all the way through
it starts off so experimental and exciting
by 1964 it begins to be phoned in
1968. it goes back to exicting
then peaks in 1973
from 1974 on, it is a downward, depressing spiral
