Hmm great covers but the sounds rate is from 3.5 to 5 and 6 . If the sounds rates from 1 to 10 its bad sound

Not everything in the Bootleg book is 'facts', there are errors too.
For example: on the "Shock , rattle & roll" they mention that due lack of space "Too much" is not on the record.
That's wrong: altough it's not listed in the tracklist on the backcover, it IS on the record.
More mistakes like that are also in that book, sometimes you wonder if they listened to the discs or just looked at the tracklists.
It still remains a fantastic book for the collector.
As for soundquality, they rank from 1(poor) to 6, wich is 'perfect'.

Me too, i always prefer the originals.
The mono to stereo process came a long way.
From the electronically reprocessed stereo ones to the better sounding recent ones.
I don't dislike the electronically reprocessed stereo ones, cause they are the ones i grew up with, but i much prefer the mono versions.
On the other hand, what they can do now is pretty amazing. It sounds like stereo and still it's not all over the place like the early years of these mixes in the 60's into the 80's. The recent ones sound very natural.
They give sometimes life too in mono live recordings.
I'm not against it at all, if done with respect for the originals, wich we can always go back too.

The LP "Shock, Rattle and Roll" out the Pink and Black label could be considered a Laurel offshoot. It is another Ger design and production. I don't have that release in my collection but on the look for it.

The "Loving you sessions" was actually a more complete re-issue from this original. Agree on the "Shock" album, it's a Tallhair beauty!
Those are beauties! As I recall, Shock was the first time we heard the April 3rd Berle show.
