Re: EPiC - new film - thoughts from the premiere
WB were always the most obvious distributors, especially given there is an IMAX version made, Luhrmann's association and footage relationship.L Ray wrote: September 21st, 2025, 4:16 pm Warner Bros. is doing the distribution. So we are another step closer to getting the movie into theaters. Good news!!
Is there an official confirmation though? All I could see was a fan video.

It could be fake but, wouldnt Warners be the logical studio to distribute it?

Yes. In main territories at least, WB is most probable. ( which is why this rumour I guess)Living Stereo wrote: September 22nd, 2025, 5:31 pmIt could be fake but, wouldnt Warners be the logical studio to distribute it?
But when it comes to some secondary territories, they might look for other distributors.

Wikipedia's claiming it's "Sony Music Vision" as the distributor: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Baz_Luhrmann#Director

That for me was probably the best and honest review I have read/seen and although I have not seen the movie, his thoughts kind of mirror my thoughts/expectations of what will be seen. As I have written before, I’m sure fans are going to love this but equally, those who have been dreaming of getting a new reworked Elvis on Tour for many years will be somewhat disappointed that it does not meet those hopes because of the lack of a lot of complete in concert performances from 1972, and off the back of that, some may even argue that the title EPiC (Elvis Presley In Concert) is a little misleading. I hope they can get this in cinemas reasonably quickly to avoid it showing in the winter season.kevanbudd wrote: September 28th, 2025, 5:48 am Arjan Deelen gives his impressions of EPIC -

Re: EPiC - new film - thoughts from the premiere
awesome post
good to get a first hand telling of what to expect when this is finally released
There is so much unreleased film and it is criminal this was not already released given the studio recordings that get released of burps and farts, eh
it is really too bad more was not filmed of the 50s

Re: EPiC - new film - thoughts from the premiere
I was at the Zürich premiere this Friday.
Travelled from Holland for this.
It was awesome! The visual and sonic quality is unbelievable.
After the screening I needed some time to unwind, it had such an impact.
After almost 40 years of collecting, this is a major event!
Not only the images of Elvis, but also the whole story and context.
Great to have Elvis telling his own story.
It's funny, it's dynamic and it stands the test of time so good.
If you get the chance......go see it!!!
