Re: New EPiC Soundtrack Release

And cheers to Rob, wherever he may be.

.
As we all know, Rob [aka 'The Godfather'] is off in search of that near-mint copy of the This Is Elvis FTD that's been eluding him all these years... ;)

Or so the legend says... I like to theorize myself that he's got his hands on an actual mint ...

Re: New EPiC Soundtrack Release

Even though I fear the worst (I didn't particularly enjoy the 2022 soundtrack), this is a pre-order item for me. It's the LP on regular black vinyl plus the album on CD.

And cheers to Rob, wherever he may be.

Re: Warner settles lawsuit with AI music firm and launches joint venture

too many cannot tell the difference between slop and artistry

I wouldn't be surprised if Suno churned out much better tracks than most of what's coming out these days. I'm surprised about the amount of people who listen to this bland, monotonous crap that is the pop music of today.

If one goes ...

Re: Ernst and 2027

If Ernst, by 2027, is feeling up for it, he'll continue. Simple as that. He loves to do what he does but in the end, age and the label's long term goals are the deciding factor here. But I'm not so sure anymore, that Ernst's departure would mean the end of FTD and the Elvis catalogue-program in ...

Re: The Elvis Archival Preservation Society - Now on Spotify

I really enjoyed their YouTube channel. They never played copyrighted audio so not sure what it was terminated.

So did I.

They're still trying to figure that out. Could be copyright issues (books), but apparently they've never received any copyright notices beforehand or else they surely would ...

The Elvis Archival Preservation Society - Now on Spotify

In case folks miss the weekly video-podcast on YouTube, Elvis Day By Day and the Elvis Information Network have recently informed readers that the EAP Society YouTube channel was terminated on December 13 for (yet) unknown reasons. (Founder) Jamie Kelley is actively trying to bring the channel back ...

Anybody with really low numbers like this, bought their copy directly from either Ernst, Pål or David. It's definitely something to show off and brag about, if that's the kind of thing you like to do.
Merely showing my copy. I’m not the bragging sort. Have an enjoyable rest of your week.

Re: Your favorite multitrack On Tour show?

Hampton Roads sounds okay, but what’s the point when I Got a Woman is heavily damaged? The sad thing is that the MGM version of I Got a Woman has been widely available for years in perfect sound.

You may want to re-watch the sequence. In the movie, "I Got A Woman" was repaired using a secondary ...

First all analogue (AAA) release on Deutsche Grammophon since the 1980s

Legendary Russian pianist Mikhail Pletnev has made his first studio album with Deutsche Grammophon since 2005. An artist whose musicianship has long been enriched by his work as conductor and composer, he performs two fascinating sets of preludes: Chopin’s Op. 28 and Scriabin’s Op. 11. Pletnev ...

If I had to decide I'd give the nod to Greensboro. Not because it's the best of the bunch (it isn't) but because of the nostalgia associated with it. I was such a fan of the ol' Triangle bootleg "The Greensboro Concert" and listened to it on repeat when it came out in the early 2000s. Plus I always ...

Re: J.D. Sumner Confronts Dee Stanley On Talk Show

There is no love lost between J.D. Sumner & Dee Stanley apparently.

This is from the U.S. talk show "Geraldo", 1991.

Dee always seemed like a scumbag. Same goes for her sons. I'm glad that JD called her out on her lies. This is the only time I've ever seen him this angry.

I honestly can't remember. It wasn't that big of a deal to me, since I've never been a big movie-buff. However, the original That's The Way It Is, Viva Las Vegas and Clambake are movies I've seen relatively soon after becoming a fan. All of them on good ol' linear television.
