Loved this album, still do!
I was a teenager when i first got it, the poster hung on my wall for years, gave it later to my (now) ex girlfriend
Later i picked it up again, including the poster.
Fond memories of this!
We all have our own opinions on these new mixes, I still can’t bring myself to listen to those ‘Royal Philharmonic Orchestra’ compilations from a few years ago.
I have listened to this mix, apparently they have used four tracks.
I can’t hear ‘I, John,’ anywhere but maybe my ears aren’t tuned in ...
Guess it did not happen.
All the shows for the Summer festival of 1974 (where this song was rehearsed for) are known to collectors, being on cd or cdr... no trace of "Twelfth of never"...
Comparing the two 1971 versions to eachother and while the 'new' version seems to be slightly louder, it's basicly the same. So if you don't have this nice concert, with the unique ending, it's one to get.

I fully agree, 'You're A Heartbreaker' has always been one of te poorer sounding recordings ever. RCA did a terrible job with that, on the record you show, and on almost all the others that came after that. It's from "Elvis at Sun" from 2004, that it finally is heard like a fresh breath of air, it's ...
