i found Baz's Elvis a bit underwhelming

I don't think a general audience could really follow it, and it just seemed like a highlights of Elvis life by making iconic photos come to life

you had to know Elvis' world to get it, and the errors were glaring - like singing Trouble at Russel park, when ...

I can only assume that Luhrmann will be responsible for remixing, remastering, and eventually releasing the footage of the 'complete' Hampton Roads concert...?

I can envisage it now:

Elvis Live - the complete Hampton Roads '72 concert...featuring the backing of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra ...

I guess the Elvis journey from Ernst will come to an end in 2027.We've got fantastic releases from Ernst. But the last ones were , well not the best. The Memphis set had a lot of discussions. What do you think ? Will we get a last huge surprise end when Ernst finishes his work ?

This looks like one dodgy-sounding, heavily-EDITED, modern day-mixed soundtrack compilation...it should compliment the actual movie-documentary-"tone poem"-whatever it is, for all the wrong reasons!!!

That has a lot of specifics.
In 2 months we can all enjoy it.

I saw EPiC Sep 26 in Zürich.
For me as a long time 70's collector it was amazing.
Seeing some of this footage for the very first time in this quality was a fantastic experience. And super audio.

I saw a fan filmed clip of Polk Salad Annie that I wasn't altogether happy with. The mix of rehearsal and live footage was very well done, but rather than sync this to one performance (preferably live), they appear to have used the original audio for all clips.

I'm mostly annoyed with Burning Love having the RPO audio (a clip mix of rehearsals and the greensboro footage) and from what i read in the ghetto from TTWII also featuring the RPO version.

Can consider never been to spain an almost complete performance as the guitar solo was cut out..

On reflection, it does seem like rather a strange approach to compile a film of Elvis Presley In Concert and not include complete performances. I know Baz favours a cut up / music video style approach, but this would have still been possible with complete songs...

Side A: "Love Me", "So Glad You're Mine"
Side B: "Blue Suede Shoes", "I Love You Because"

Not too sure if the tracks on Side B were issued in error or not, because "B.S.S." is the 1960 version from ...
