Re: Your favorite multitrack On Tour show?
It’s a dead heat tie for me but Richmond is awfully hard to top. Outstanding vocals on Mountain, Trilogy, I Can’t Stop Loving You, which is reminiscent of Madison Square Garden’s killer version, and an almost unique ending on Can’t Help Falling In Love. Love this show!

Re: Harum Scarum Vinyl & The Last Tours, Vol. 3
I’m sorry. How can anyone say this Wonder Of You is ok? It’s terrible as is this whole tour. We hold Elvis to a very low standard when we find these shows acceptable. He totally disrespected his fans with these performances.
I was at this show and at the two he did in St. Paul in October 1974 ...

The Rapid City show is at least as good as this one and probably better. Bridge Over Troubled Water, Release Me, and I Can’t Stop Loving You are difficult to listen to and show how diminished Elvis was.NinaFromCanadaEh wrote: October 19th, 2025, 12:20 pm
this was a better concert than the 2 filmed for the tv special

Re: Songs from Elvis movies
I love the song, Follow That Dream, but abhor the staging of it for the movie. Elvis rolling around on the blanket, scratching his back, and singing with the radio that only had accompaniment on it. I find the scene cringe inducing. The vocal is so wonderful but I much prefer the original, mono ...

Re: Top 10 best movie soundtracks
It’s known the quality of Elvis’ movies went downhill after 1963/1964. Scripts / movie songs etc are poor now from that moment. The 4 pre-army movies are the best.
colonel snow
generally that is true...but after that period there is still the odd gem to seek out from 64 to 69 ;) just not as ...

Re: Top 10 best movie soundtracks
The three of you have presented pretty much the same soundtracks in slightly different order and I don’t have much trouble with any of them. In my top ten, I would simply want to add It Happened At The World’s Fair and probably drop either Roustabout or LALLAL. World’s Fair is short, as are Follow ...

The song is likely owned by one of Elvis’ publishing companies.

Re: Trailer for EPIC
Just as good, and maybe better, is Richmond. Disappointed to hear there’s very little new Richmond footage in EPiC. Still looking forward to it. Baz says there will be an IMAX version which I will have to see.

Re: Just Tell Her Jim Said Hello at Menendez Trial
Thank you for the context. I’d seen that tape being played on a show like Nightline or 48 Hours. Didn’t know what it had to do with the brothers.

Just Tell Her Jim Said Hello at Menendez Trial
I’m sure I saw something on a documentary years ago, something about this song being discussed and maybe played during the trial of the Menendez brothers. I flipped the station on while this was featured but never got any context. What did this song have to do with the brothers or their murdered ...
