For me, part ( a big part!) of Elvis' magic was the interaction with his band and vocalists. I mean, Ronnie, James, John, Glenn, Jerry, Charlie, the Sweets, Imperials etc etc... aren't they ...

Not a big fan of those 4LP reissues... they're huge and heavy. IMO be better if MOV reissued LP's like TTWII and Memphis '74 in their original single LP form... like they did with On Stage and Back In Memphis ...

I’ll be getting a selected few but not all. I wonder why they are not doing From Elvis in Memphis, Elvis Country and Promised Land, three great albums, especially the first one.

I do remember the DAE releases. They were very nice releases with good sound.

I made a quick comparison between the two. The DAE sounds mono and the sound is a bit warmer and brighter to my ears. The Sunset Blvd release is in stereo/binaural and sounds a little more muffled to me. I'm not a sound ...

I like to visit record fairs and, sometimes, searching discogs marketplace for nice vinyl. I always prefer records with the original inner sleeves, booklets, hype stickers or OBI's. That makes the record complete, at least for me. It's not that I will not buy records that are 'incomplete' but I ...

I gave these four vinyl goodies a spin yesterday. I still hope that somehow, at some point, these nice albums get the re-release they deserve. They could combine the four original booklets into one nice book. A nice LP-sized boxset will do...
