Still have the original Black Star 12 inch release

My first bootleg LP was Rockin’ Rebel Vol.3, wonderful at the time.

My first LP was the re-issue of Golden Records Vol 2, unfortunately it was in re-processed stereo.

From memory I think Elvis had about 7 albums in the top 50 at the same time just after his death.

According to elvisinfonet the reissue of Moody Blue from 2000 has been issued a silver disc in the Uk for sales of 60,000 copies.
Obviously this is in addition to the original album.

Discovered doo wop music during the rock n roll revival in the UK in the late 70’s.
Earth Angel by The Penguins is my favourite doo wop song.
These guys do sound good.

Hi,
On Sky Arts in the UK they have an Elvis night tonight.
Among the usual things is a documentary called Elvis- Summer of 56.
Narrated by June Juanico apparently, not seen this before.

Have bought the book but not read it yet.
The reviews in the above magazines rate it and say that it is a fair assessment that seems to right some wrong impressions of the Colonel.

there were also several Canadian singles released after Elvis' death including quite a few on coloured vinyl.
I have Unchained Melody, Little Darlin', My Way, Teddy Bear and Are You Sincere. Also have several on black vinyl in stiff card sleeves including You Gave Me A Mountain, Blue Hawaii and Way ...

Will read soon and see what I think.

I have both these cd’s although they weren’t complete reissues.

Enjoyed this more than I expected.
Although Jailhouse Rock is not good at all.
