I remember buying the single of this in the mid 90’s.
Was a hit in the UK.
Have got the cd and 7 inch single.

The 1994 compilation’If Everyday Was Like Christmas’ is still my favourite.

I was listening to the cd Memories of Christmas yesterday.
I wondered if anyone knows when the Christmas message at the start of Silent Night was recorded.
I know it was included on a 1967 Christmas radio programme but nothing else.

Always enjoyed the Platinum set.
Like others the Elvis Aron Presley box set was excellent in it’s day and the first two Essential Elvis albums.

i thought this was released in the U K in 1982. I remember buying this and the USA version at about the same time.

My first bootleg LP was Rockin’ Rebel Vol.3, wonderful at the time.

My first LP was the re-issue of Golden Records Vol 2, unfortunately it was in re-processed stereo.

From memory I think Elvis had about 7 albums in the top 50 at the same time just after his death.

According to elvisinfonet the reissue of Moody Blue from 2000 has been issued a silver disc in the Uk for sales of 60,000 copies.
Obviously this is in addition to the original album.

Discovered doo wop music during the rock n roll revival in the UK in the late 70’s.
Earth Angel by The Penguins is my favourite doo wop song.
These guys do sound good.

On Sky Arts in the UK they have an Elvis night tonight.
Among the usual things is a documentary called Elvis- Summer of 56.
Narrated by June Juanico apparently, not seen this before.

Have bought the book but not read it yet.
The reviews in the above magazines rate it and say that it is a fair assessment that seems to right some wrong impressions of the Colonel.
